Classic PDF and other things...

Classic PDF and other things...

First, the boxed edition that Kyle has in Indiana has still not hit the stores, BUT I have learned that the same ruleset is available as a PDF on Warehouse 23. I just purchased it so I will have it going forward (even though I'll be getting a box set for me to keep in Tennessee, it's nice to have the rules on the laptop for when I'm updating the game).

Here's the link - http://www.warehouse23.com/products/car-wars-classic-1   It's only $5.99 so I suggest picking it up.

Though I will NOT be putting it here, I will publish MY list of available items so that you can build your vehicle. You are welcome to use the MADHAT design spreadsheet, but note that it has MORE than what is available for this event - https://sites.google.com/site/jimmylogan0916/madhat/downloads/madhat2013.xls

Here's the full data that you should need -

Here's the map -

There are six gates that WILL remain open. Any vehicle or pedestrian leaving via a gate is out of the event. The "floppy disks" have a white square. These are pedestrian "boltholes" that will allow a pedestrian to leave the area (and live to fight another day).

The solid lines are full height walls with 80 DP. They can not be shot over or climbed over. The white walls (and squares) are also 80 DP but a pedestrian can jump over them and a car can shoot over them, but they do block movement.

In the past, I have used hazards and things "for 5 phases" instead of end of turn. For this event I will be following the published rules and loss of control will impart a penalty only "for the rest of this turn."

Optional concussion rules ARE in effect.

You have 30 skill points to spend as you like. I will allow a Driver and up to two Gunners/Passengers.  The total cost of your car is limited to $20,000, plus $500 for pedestrian equipment. If you choose, you may spend up to $2,500 of your car's budget.

Simply put, you have $20,500 to spend - no more than $3,000 for ped equipment and no more than $20,000 for the vehicle and no more than $20,500 total.

If you have the printed copy or the PDF and you have found that I have left something out, please let me know!

Now that I have the rules "in hand," so to speak, designs can be started. I will not put a hard deadline on them until MH42 is complete, but feel free to start. If I have them all in and checked then we can start MH43 as soon as MH42 ends.
